VETERANS' MATCH PROGRAMME (2010)

The first match of the Veterans series took place at Walkers Dam on 12
May with eleven members lining the bank, the weather had been warm and
settled so good catchers were expected. Anglers on the North Bank were
on the hot pegs and Bob Hirst on
peg 21 brought several good fish to the net in the first hour, on peg
31 last years champion Mick Chapman caught steadily landing Bream
and Crucian Carp up to 2lb and was catching better than adjacent
anglers. End peg 31 lived up to its reputation of holding fish with Eric Wright
putting hts Pellet attack to good use by bagging several Bream
and Tench. At the final whistle it was Hirst who took the honours.
