20 September - Walker's Dam (Bruce Harper Trophy) (Committee Match (All Lake)
Nineteen of the committee and bailiffs fished the annual match at Walker's Dam in bright sunny conditions, perfect for sunbathing but not for fishing. In a close match the eventual committee winner was Gary Hampshire off peg 24 with 7lb. 10oz. of mainly Roach with ann odd Perch. Most fish were taken on hemp seed at five metres with a couple taken on caster from the far bank rushes. Second was Dave Chapman from peg 14 with 6lb. 9oz. who had a mixed bag of small Carp, Roach and Skimmers on the pole all taken on pellet, caster and maggot baits. Third was club chairman Harry Lodge who drew the same peg as last year (11) from where he won it, putting together a bag of small Tench, Roach, Perch and F1 Carp for a weight of 6lb. 3oz. All his fish were taken on an array of baits as conditions changed.
