The last Newmillerdam match of the year attracted 22 anglers to its bank knowing that cold weather and lots of rain would put a dampener on the final results. The deeper area around the boathouse tends to produce in the colder months, and did so again giving Lindsey Clarke a comfortable win with exactly 28lb from peg 17. He caught steadily all day using a tiny feeder with red maggot hook baits bringing skimmers to the net throughout.
Second on the day was Trev Bishop off peg 1 who much to the suprise of everyone caught proper Bream using a punch bread feeder with pellets of bread on a big hook. He weighed 13lb 5oz at the final whistle.
Third was Bob Reah next peg to the winner on peg 16 who caught the edge of the shoal and landed 9lb 9oz of Skimmers and Roach on feeder tactics with maggot and pinkie hook baits.
