Tom Dack had a brilliant day out on the Calder & Hebble canal at Horbury when he landed this fine 8lb pike, it was taken on a smelt bait.
As you can see in the background it was the type of weather that we all are having to endure at present, but the snow and cold did not deter Tom on the day.
He also made contact with a 3lb--10oz Brown trout which he verified with two of the clubs Bailiffs.
The trout was taken using a bait of half a Lamprey Eel.
For those of you who know the area near to the Marina at Horbury Bridge you will reconise the background and side wall.
