Latest Club Match - Sally Walshes Dam
Twenty-one anglers took part on a venue, never fished as a club match, and untrue to its reputation most were left disappointed. The venue is known for its massive shoals of Bream but on the day all Trevor Bishop needed was 11lb. 13oz. to take the spoils. He drew end peg 54 and used his normal pellet feeder with pellet hook baits to take the odd Skimmer Bream and bonus Roach to lift the trophy. Second with 11lb. 5oz. was top junior Luke Wrzosek who pole fished all day with caster and worm baits, landing Roach and small Skimmer Bream at 14metres. Luke is now proving to be the top junior on the club circuit beating many seniors week-in, week-out. Third joint was Club Chairman Harry Lodge and Mark Phillips off pegs 33 and 35 who caught Roach and Skimmer Bream on pole and feeder respectively with pellet and corn baits. Others: Mark Carpenter 9lb. 3oz.
