Wakefield Angling Club Taster Day

On Friday, 7 August, 2009 Wakefield Angling Club held another successful “taster” day at Newmillerdam, Wakefield.

All of the places were quickly snapped up by youngsters wanting to have a go at fishing.

Tuition was provided by four qualified Angling Trust coaches led by Wakefield Angling Club’s President, Harry Lodge. All the would-be young anglers caught fish and had a real “taste” of just how much fun angling can be.

The youngsters ranged from age 5 to age 17 of which about a third were girls.
