BOGUS WATER BAILIFF
The Wakefield
Angling Club
is receiving reports of a bogus water bailiff who is demanding
a day ticket payment on the bankside.
The club has no day ticket sales, you have paid your yearly membership fee.
You must not pay anybody any money, even if they have official bits of paper.
If you can identify these people please inform the treasurer Peter Hayton
peter@haytonossett.freeserve .co.uk
ALL OUR BAILIFFS CARRY A PHOTO IDENTITY CARD WITH THEIR
NAME ON IT, AND IT IS SIGNED BY THE TREASURER.
DO NOT PART WITH ANY MONEY IT IS A SCAM !!!!!

BOILIES

With reference to the 2014 membership book, you will see in various places that
boilies are banned, this is incorrect !!!
Due to a misunderstanding when the book was being prepared for printing the article
on banned baits was altered to include Boilies, I do apologize for this error.
The committee recommend that on the smaller waters a maximum of half a kilo of boilies is sufficient to use in a session.
I do hope that this clarifies the position, regards, Peter Hayton (Treasurer).

Wakefield Angling Club is a member of the three groups listed below:-

Friends of Newmillerdam / Friends of Kettlethorpe Hall / Friends of Horbury Lagoon
    http://www.newmillerdam.org  /
The Wakefield Angling Club caters for anyone wishing to fish waters in and around the City of Wakefield.

Our fisheries consist of lakes, ponds, canals and a local stretch of the River Calder. Some still waters are ideal for disabled anglers and juniors.

The club is a member of the Angling Trust, and enters teams in the National and Regional Championships, as well as various leagues.

Our thriving Junior Section also fishes in the Championships. We have league matches, friendly competitions against juniors from other clubs, and our own weekly matches in June and July. Tuition is available for junior and novice anglers.

We have a programme of weekly matches in the summer for Veteran members (aged 60 and over) and have recently started a Ladies' Section, which offers coaching and a "Ladies' only" evening at the Flanshaw Dam.

NO NIGHT FISHING ON ANY CLUB WATERS
From 1st Jan 2008 - THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE FISHING LICENCE FOR HORBURY AND WAKEFIELD LAGOONS HAVE BEEN REVISED BY WAKEFIELD COUNCIL. NIGHT FISHING HAS BEEN BANNED ON BOTH LAGOONS AND VEHICLE ACCESS ONTO THE GRASSED AREAS AROUND THE HORBURY LAGOONS HAS ALSO BEEN BANNED. MEMBERS BREAKING THESE NEW CONDITIONS, WOULD BE LIABLE FOR THE COST OF REPAIRING DAMAGED AREAS AND COULD LEAD TO THE WITHDRAWL OF MEMBERSHIP. THESE CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE POLICE.
